In February last year, we took our first step in the AI space by releasing Krutrim AI chatbot in public beta. It was our first release and while it established our credentials in this exciting space, it also was prone to industry errors like hallucinations and limited context windows. We listened to all the feedback you gave us on Krutrim, good and bad. These insights helped us understand your needs and expectations from AI chatbots and helped build the foundation for the launch of our next generation AI assistant.
Today, we are proud and excited to unveil the next generation of our AI assistant and what we believe is India’s first true AI assistant. We have rebuilt this from ground up with powerful features, newer use cases, and an intuitive user experience.
And with it, a brand new identity.

Kruti is not just a new name, it is a lot more than what meets the eye (please stay tuned for the rebrand backstory). It represents our vision of what we believe agents can do for users. It is a leap in capability, purpose, and utility. Over last year, we have reimagined every layer of the user experience. We started from the core architecture, weaved it to the conversational flow, and reconstructed input mediums like voice and text, and strengthened it with memory improvements. Our first version was a chatbot, this represents something more powerful, more epochal, and most importantly, more useful to you. Kruti is proactive, multilingual and is built to fit into your life through listening, adapting, and acting.

Most AI tools require the user to do work before the work for you. You have to guess the right model (there are so many), toggle the right option, turn on/off web access just to get a useful response. We believe that AI should remove complexity and cognitive load, not add to them.

Kruti completes your tasks
With Kruti, we have reimagined what agents can and should do for you. We looked at your habits, read about your pain points and built agentic frameworks that are focused on one thing – to make your life simpler. Let’s meet them:
Cab booking agent. We all have been so used to the current way to book cabs since that is the only way. You open the app, type your destination, choose the type of cab, check when it’s coming, did you get the OTP and more. You probably also do this while juggling bags or wrapping up your meeting.
Now, you can just say “book me a cab home” and forget about all the other steps. Or just type “I want a large car with extra boot space to the airport at 6 pm”. In both these cases, Kruti understands your intent and does all of these steps in the background. It books the cab for you, that’s all. Food ordering agent. You have probably spent more time browsing menus than ordering food. Bill payments agent. Have you met anyone who loves paying so many bills and navigating through different interfaces, apps, login screens and more. There is electricity, broadband, insurance, telephone, and more with amounts, dates, codes.
